This day long workshop is designed with parents & providers of children with special needs in mind. Some breakout sessions include: Low-tech sensory solutions, Kindy Segovia; Therapeutic Massage, Sheri Beth Schaffer; 5 Ways to Raise $500.00, Nina Van Harn; Help Students Pay Attention, Ellen Akhurst; Assistive Technology in Early Childhood, Laura Taylor, Communication Support and Sensory Information, Stacy Pulley & Terri Cooper; Wills and Trusts, Dan Blauw. Keynote: Chris Klein: "Communication Builds Relationships", A graduate of Hope College, Chris uses augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to speak. He has committed his life to mentoring, educating, speaking and training others. Chris strives to live his life to the fullest, while motivating and challenging others to do the same. Meeting Chris will forever change your perceptions of persons with disabilities.
Exhibitors, vendors and service providers will be available throughout the day to share resources and answer questions.
